Rising Media and 3DR Holdings along with partners in India produced India’s largest 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing Trade Show.
3D Printing is growing rapidly in India along with great manufacturing growth in general taking place in India.
It is great fun and interesting for me to be associated with these shows while I am also able to continue residential real estate in New York City.
Got to see the movie Allied with Brad Pitt and Marion Cottilard. Great suspense and a terrific story. Pitt and Cottilard are electric together. I can see why Angelina Jolie might be upset. I think Cottilard has a Jolie-esque look?
I had mentioned that I am reading William Manchester’s incredibly detailed book about the Kennedy Assassination in November 1963. DEATH OF A PRESIDENT covers in minute detail the actual assassination and then the days until JFK was buried and a few days after. I am presuming that the new movie JACKIE starring Natalie Portman will follow the details presented by William Manchester? Jacqueline Kennedy was able to focus and came up with the idea of the eternal flame at Arlington marking the JFK grave. Manchester had Jacqueline Kennedy’s cooperation so we have to presume the details are correct. Cannot wait to see the movie next month.
I am just blown away by the progress that WIIVV is making with 3D Printing inner soles and other products. The company is a leader in this field and has some exciting news forthcoming.
My work with Asimov Ventures has enabled me to see WIIVV develop from an idea at the Inside 3D Printing trade show in Santa Clara, CA in October 2014 to becoming one of the more exciting companies in the field of additive manufacturing.
Take a look at WIIVV.
I have always been fascinated about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on 22 November 1963. Recently I read the William Manchester book DEATH OF A PRESIDENT (November 1963). I suggest that anyone interested in learning more about the JFK assassination should read this powerful study.
I loved American history and had a great teacher of the subject at the Riverdale Country Day School where I once graduated. I can particularly remember learning about the election of Rutherford Hayes in 1876 and how the presidency was settled in the House of Representatives because Hayes did not get enough electoral votes. For a while on election night I thought we might be headed for another election to be decided in the House. Oh well perhaps again in the future??
Wow. The FormNext additive manufacturing trade show in Frankfurt is immense. Bodes well for the future of 3D Printing. We are covering it thoroughly with our crack editor-in-chief from 3Dprint.com www.3dprint.com.
Kate Meckler Getting Involved with 3D Printing
I get asked by a lot of people – why is Kate Meckler getting involved with 3D printing?
If you don’t know about all the amazing benefits of 3D printing – you can read up here on Wikipedia.
Briefly, excerpting from Wikipedia:
“3D printing, also known as additive manufacturing (AM), refers to processes used to synthesize a three-dimensional object in which successive layers of material are formed under computter control to create an object. Objects can be of almost any shape or geometry and are produced from digital model data 3D model or another electronic data source such as an Additive Manufacturing File (AMF) file…. The term 3D printing has its origin sense, 3D printing in reference to a process that deposits a binder material onto a powder bed with inkjet printer heads layer by layer. More recently, the term is being used in popular vernacular to encompass a wider variety of additive manufacturing techniques. United States and global technical standards use the official term additive manufacturing for this broader sense. ISO/ASTM52900-15 defines seven categories of AM processes within its meaning: Binder Jetting, Directed Energy Deposition, Material Extrusion, Material Jetting, Powder Bed Fusion, Sheet Lamination and Vat Photopolymerization.“
Now that I spend time working on www.3dprint.com I am getting involved with developing online training courses for the site. Shortly we will introduce a range of courses for beginners to sophisticated users of additive manufacturing.
In addition to selling real estate and working on the new city bike basket www.citybikebasket.com I am involved with venture capital. VC is very exciting as I get to help analyze frontier tech in the early start up stage. My VC fund can be found at www.asimovventures.com. We have 7 investments to date and in later posts I will take readers through the concepts behind the investments.
I am now associated with a fabulous new product called CityBikeBasket. Check out the website www.citybikebasket.com. This basket is made of durable plastic with a removable handle. It fits snugly onto all of the citi bikes you see in New York City including Brooklyn and Jersey City, NJ. It also works great on city bicycle share programs found in many other cities in the USA and even in Melbourne, Australia and London, England!!! Please check out the city bike basket at www.citybikebasket.com. It will make a great Christmas present.
