Katherine Meckler, one of NYC’s leading real estate agents, is also a known philanthropist. Whether she is supporting HIV / AIDS awareness, the Central Park Conservancy, or the NYPL and its ‘Young Lions,’ it is clear that she does not take advantage of her financial privilege. Kate puts her money to good use for the betterment of the world in unique ways. Her charity portfolio is just as impressive as her career.
When it comes to her support of one of the top HIV / AIDS Awareness Organizations in the world, she was one of many high profile attendants at a Love Heals benefit event. She also shows a keen interest in keeping New York City’s cherished green space as healthy as possible. In a way, supporting this movement is a form of keeping the heart of New York healthy. A healthy amount of nature in such an urban landscape helps keep New Yorker’s minds healthy as well. For this reason she is adamant about supporting the Central Park Conservancy. Another way she helps support the minds of New Yorker’s is by supporting the New York Public Library. She is part of a special membership group called the Young Lions, “a special membership group for New Yorkers in their 20s and 30s who love literature, love events, and love the Library.” Katherine helps ensure New Yorker’s of all backgrounds have consistent access to books, e-books, and other resources crucial to supporting a healthy mind.

Kate Meckler supports a variety of causes, extending her Philanthropy work to many different charity organizations including Love Heals, the Central Park Conservancy, and the NYPL and its “Young Lions.”
Love Heals is one of the top HIV & AIDS Awareness organizations in the world. It contains four primary programs: Speakers Bureau, Leap for Girls, Youth Advisory Council and Condom Distribution.
She specifically chose to support Love Heals because, “the organization’s incredible and relentless outreach to kids and teenagers saves lives. What Stefani Greenfield, Victoria Leacock Hoffman and Dini von Mueffling created is enduring and impressive.”
She also supports the Central Park Conservancy. She knows Central Park is a vital resource for all New Yorkers.
Meckler says, “Did you know the Central Park Conservancy raises over 75 percent of Central Park’s annual budget? Keeping Central Park beautiful is something every New Yorker can appreciate — and it’s why I had to get involved.”
The mission of Central Park Conservancy is “to restore, manage, and enhance Central Park in partnership with the public. It’s important for all New Yorkers to keep it looking wonderful.”
